I'm working on the mining skill right now. What minerals do we want to start out with? I think like 3 or 4 is a good start right now just because it's going to be a lot of assets to make each item out of each material. I kind of like the way Runescape materials work (Copper + Tin = Bronze, Iron = Iron, Iron + Coal = Steel) we could do something similar to that, or if anyone else has input on this that would be helpful.
Anyway, I've finished the animation reel for this and I'm working on the materials now so let me know! =D

You might want think about the economy. Is gold the only "coinage"? Or maybe the different metals make up the economy (e.g. a shield may cost 30 gold, but is also available for 50 iron). Gems/jewels might also be good to have.
Starting small is a good idea, but you should have a game plan of how you want this stuff to work over time.
