Core dump on usage of applications-menu applet #484
Comments
please install your package debug symbols. Its not possible to diagnose where the issues are occurring. |
I wasn't exactly sure which package to install, so I ended up installing 'budgie-applications-menu-dbginfo', 'budgie-desktop-dbginfo' and 'budgie-extras-dbginfo'. Here's the new stack trace:
I should probably note, after budgie panel core dumps when logging in, seemingly everything that would start up automatically when I login (keepassxc, kdeconnect, vpn, etc) also dump core. |
Sadly the trace has no additional information to diagnose - it doesn't appear that the coredump is pulling in the debug files. |
Originally filed here:
I installed the applications-menu applet in Solus Budgie today, from the Software Center - upon first adding it to the tray Budgie crashed and restarted. Adding the applet again after this seemed to work fine, but upon rebooting, Budgie core dumped and gave the "Uh oh! Something went wrong" screen trying to login. Resetting my panel with gsettings restored normal operation.
Budgie version 10.9.2
Operating System Solus 4.6
