Major Faction - Independent Logo is absent

• Issue: Major Faction - Independent Logo not present in assets

• Description: Despite attempts to hide, there is one reliable place to find the Independent logo: Planetary bases. When a base is Independent-owned the logos will change from whatever Major Faction it was before, to this attached image.

• Solution: Eventual creation of asset

Perfect image, bad placement on planetary base.. stupid seam in the middle of it that might cover some parts of it.

Is it confirmed this is for independent factions? Or if it's just for planetary bases or that specific base etc..

Squadrons has a bird for independent faction type. Which is what I've added to Factions page now https://edassets.org/#/factions

The star icon might also be for independent faction, but I find it unlikely there would be two different types unless there's lore attached to it.

We will vectorize it at some point, but for the moment I'm not willing to add it as independent until we know for sure what it is.

I forgot to mention. I roamed around our base but could not locate a symbol like that.

It is highly likely that this is the Independent logo, as when a Planetary Port is owned by a Major Power the icon will change to the respective faction. When Independent owned this is the used icon.

There is inconsistency with it regarding certain types of planetary bases and planetary outpost, where the Independent icon is instead a blank image (which can be seen at the right angle as a floating square.). I do not know why.

Since the Independent logo in Q4 is different, I understand the hesitation in a direct relation. An alternative is the that this Port icon is a fallback to "none" but that behavior isn't mimc'ed on other Independent assets, not to mention the only occurrence of this icon is independent assets.

Correlation causation issue, I know. If I have more concrete data then I'll update.However know that the Empire also has two different logos, as seen on the Imperial Majestic capital ship. An off-centered bird design instead of the normally centered bird design (arrow is only to show icon inconsistency in the capital ship, not compare it to the normal imperial logo which is not displayed here)
