No idea what "Report" means #263
Comments
The "Report" button in the notification bubble submits an anonymous report[1] to ABRT server [2]. The another "Report" button in the GUI submits full report to Bugzilla. If you want to configure the "Report" in notification bubbles to report to Bugzilla, turn "Shortened Reporting" off 1: http://abrt.readthedocs.org/en/latest/ureport.html#ureport |
It could be. The point it there's no way I could have discovered that. |
Do you have any suggestions how we can improve this unpleasant behaviour? Chris Murphy suggested us to improve the dialogue appearing after cliking the notification "Report" button: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/desktop/2014-August/010107.html |
Not really. Probably if the latter button or a caption somewhere read "Report to Bugzilla." Or maybe if the first button was "Send q quick report" and the latter one was "Send a detailed report." Chris' suggestion makes sense to me as well. |
This should be filed against gnome-abrt, instead of abrt. The "report" button which you would now get in abrt-applet will only open gnome-abrt with that crash selected, nothing else. |
Please consider also reporting it to Bugzilla in order to provide that. Thank you."
Now I have no idea what does the another "Report" button do. How is it different from the first "Report" button? Does it report to Bugzilla?
