Applying human data across species?

this is perhaps a very naive question, but if there is some degree of conservation of TF motifs across primates, is there an easy path that would allow RcisTarget to be run using macaque scRNA-seq data? As-is these data are aligned to the MMul10 genome. thanks for any ideas.
