LBP2900B on rpi stuck in sending data to printer #36

I have an old LBP 2900 and need to be able to print to it form a number of computers of various OSes and I was quite excited to find this project.

Compilation on rpi worked like a charm.

I have "installed" rastertocapt by providing a symlink to /usr/local/bin/rastertocapt which sorted out the error message in the logs

However my printer does not seem to want to print anything. It is stuck in "Sending data to printer".

I have enabled debug logs in cups, but found no obvious reason for it to not work.
Restarted printer, cups service, rpi - no luck

Any help will be appreciated. I am not a big specialist in cups, but quite a confident Linux user with programming knowledge, so can conduct quite a few experiments of someone can guide me.

Which PPD are you using?
Did you enable debug printout? Did you read CUPS logs?

hi

I am using the PPD from the repo, the one for LBP2900
I emabled cups debug logging with "cupsctl --debug-logging"
I have been watching /var/log/cups/error_logs

Was it possible to see the last message sent to the printer and the printer's reply to it?
