I love this library - and I'm trying to unify the logins for my multiple Mac servers to use LDAP authentication.

Has anyone been successful doing this? I can't get it to work, it just refuses to authenticate, and the logs do not give me any valuable information on why.

First question is what version of MacOS are you using.
Short answer: you need to setup a LDAP server entry in the 'Directory Utility' app.
You can open the app by using Spotlight search.
