Many of the feeds I follow only show a summary in the feed, but opening the full item (in e.g. another tab) requires fiddly mouse motions which are an accessibility issue for me.

Having a keyboard shortcut to open the currently-highlighted item with target=_new or whatever; ideally something like enter

It's kind of already in there with the v button (from google reader I think)
But the shortcuts are kind of fiddly. They don't work on the timeline view - because trying to determine which post you are trying to control was a big performance hit.
They do work in the other views, on the classic view you have to lor → to focus the post. I should enable that sort of stuff on the classic view list as well.
You can also hit ? at any time to show the shortcuts
