I successfully installed the entire anaconda 3 package today. I started Anaconda using the Anaconda Navigator shortcut in windows 11. After several minutes the Navigator opened. I opened a CMD terminal from the Navigator startup window because I wanted, per you tube instructions (and those found within Spyder) run both the 'conda update anaconda' command' and the 'conda install spyder=5.4.3'. This was the same message set I recieved when starting Spyder on its own after the install.
When I ran it from the CMD terminal all I got was 'PackageNotInstalledError: Package is not installed in prefix. prefix: C:\Users\Carlisle\anaconda3 package name: anaconda.' I retried by using the Environments tab and starting an 'Open Terminal'.
I also ran Spyder on its own. Did the same process. Spyder seemed like it updated (after an older install from months ago). When I ran the update to install Spyder the system gave no feedback after an hour of hopeful watching. I stopped that even though the network monitor did occasionally spike.
I literally don't know how to get the process of updating both anaconda and spyder...please help....
