+1 binding (xuanwo) It seems to an interesting experiment that Release Manager can take the chance to share things they love with the entire community. |

+0, but with some suggestions. Simply adding a slogan totally unrelated to the project into the very first line of release note would make this project appear less professional. A better solution would be to add a unique codename for each minor release. For instance, you can name v0.51 as Yuru and v0.52 as Nadeshiko, whatever name you like. Many famous projects use codenames. This is a perfect place to showcase the attitude and preferences of the maintainer or release manager. True fans can immediately understand what that means, and curious new comers would search for it in the internet. You can also include a small hint explaining what the codename means. |

What if we assign a codename to each minor version release? I think it should be fun. |

After discussion, I think we can make the release codename as part of official release process instead of one shot release process. So, I will close this vote and start a new vote about the release process change event. But the discussion will be continue. |

Dear Apache OpenDAL Community,
I would like to initiate a special vote regarding the upcoming v0.51 release notes.
Proposal:
I propose adding the following line at the beginning of the v0.51 release notes:
"Welcome to the Yuru Camp△ Season 4" (with a link to the official page)
Background:
As an enthusiast of Yuru Camp△, I believe this anime brings peace and joy to its viewers. With the recent announcement of Season 4, I'd like to celebrate this occasion in our release notes. This practice is not unprecedented - other open source projects have included similar cultural references, such as runc v1.2.1's release note which included "No existe una escuela que enseñe a vivir."
Voting Guidelines:
+1 : approve
+0 : no opinion
-1 : disapprove (please provide reason)
Thank you for considering this proposal.
Best regards,
ZheaoLi (Manjusaka)
