Statistics file clears on exit #1

On Windows (untested on other operating systems), when the program is closed unexpectedly (via the X button on the terminal), the statistics.csv file is cleared.

The bug has proven to be persistent, even despite careful saving and re-acquisition of file handles every save.

Since this bug only causes issues when the program exits unexpectedly, I won't be fixing it to focus on other projects.
