can touchpad-indicator be made runnable in Xubuntu 24.04 #98

When trying to install the version for jammy, I get an error message that touchpad-indicator depends on gir1.2-gconf-2.0.

This package can't be installed.

I tried to compile and install on ubuntu 24.04.
Compile OK
Install complain on gir1.2-gconf-2.0 : "touchpad-indicator : Dépend: gir1.2-gconf-2.0 mais il n'est pas installable"
Is there any step to go further ?
