Feedback for the media library

I'm really excited about the new media library feature. I have written a custom field to do something similar but it would be great to use an officially supported component instead. However, there are two things that I'd really need to adopt the media library:

1. For me a global library isn't useful. Instead I'd like to be able to override which images are available in the resource class (for example, maybe I could specify a block or a scope of active storage objects based on the current model class or attributes).
2. I'd like to be able to select files from the media library in a field, like a file/files field. I think this would have to duplicate the existing active storage object onto a new model?

If we could have those that would be really useful and I could replace my custom code with the media library 😍
