Always show "show_in_rest"

I don't want to use Block Editor for Events, but want to use Events within other blocks when designing pages/posts in the Block Editor

Is it possible to remove the conditional here?

if ( 'block' === $editor ) {
		$args['show_in_rest'] = true;
}
