No "settings" button on the wallet? Network hashrate 0!

Hey,
I'm having quite a struggle with my downloaded bytecoin wallet. I wanted to start mining there, but my network hashrate is zero. My first question is if it actually matters, when my own hashrate is on 70, and also if there is any "settings" button I can use? Because I used to kinda try stuff in settings of other programs, and I've always been successful.
