Not writable destination folder

After installing and provisioning, I get this error:

sorry for the delay in response, I was on vacation

my role assumes you can write to it's own files directory, I now realize this might not work for environments where the roles are maintained by a different entity than the one executing, I'll make this overridable (to /var/tmp?)
