Patch information

From here you can download my patch to Keldon Jones' magnificent Race for the Galaxy AI. The patch fixes many annoyances with the original interface, implements quite a few commonly requested features from the Race for the Galaxy AI BGG thread, and fixes a couple of bugs. With this patch, the program should be a lot more stable and user friendly.

The 0.9.4p-q and the 0.8.1i-m releases of the patch only contain UI changes – meaning that they are fully compatible with their corresponding original save games and servers. The 0.8.1n version introduces variant games (now largely obsoleted by campaigns), which can only be played locally or on servers running on this (or newer) versions. (See Extras.)

You will need to have a build or an installation of the original version in order to make use of this patch.

Updates

Update, September 2016

The information for the patch has been moved to the wiki page on GitHub. The old page will soon be retired.

Update, April 2016

The code for both the patch and the official program has been pushed to GitHub. The repository also contains build files for Windows and the server schema.

Update, August 2015

It's time for another release of the patch. This release fixes the annoying Galactic Scavengers bug, and includes most of the good stuff from 0.8.1n.

Old update, August 2014

With the release of the official 0.9.4 version, the patch code has been integrated into Keldon's program, so there is no need to download any old versions of this patch anymore. The old download links exists mostly for historical reasons.

Thanks to everyone who downloaded and tried the patch!
