This only seems possible by using the submission service, not the GUID service. Things that come from the submission service could be out of date. Providing a mapping between them at the time of query would be difficult.

I think that implementing this on the 'get submission' operations is possible, and then some kind of join operation on the results from the GUID service would be required.
