USBDEVICES on macOS as docker host

First of all thanks for the great docker image.

I try to connect my iobroker container to an IR-reader (smartmeter, see details in ) . But the container stated: error gathering device information

I checked the usb device multiple times and an iobroker installation without docker is working fine.

Output from iobroker (plain installation on mac os).

Any idea or hints to solve the issue ? I prefer to keep the iobroker with postgres and grafana inside docker containers, the only challenge is to enable the USB device.

I'm sorry. I have absolutely no experience with MacOS.

Maybe a permission problem? But I think in this case the error message should be different.

My other idea is to change the mount for the device inside your container. As devices in Debian are mounted in /dev/tty/...
You can try this:

    devices:
     - /dev/tty.wchusbserial1420:/dev/tty/reader
    environment:
      - USBDEVICES=/dev/tty/reader

This will change the mount to another path inside the container.

Hi Andre, thanks for your reply. Same result , seems so there is a limitation in macOS docker for USB devices.
