Problem description
No API definition in this repositoty has yet been proposed, though an initial proposal of the API definition is discussed in QoD repository (QoD PR #379)

Expected action
An API proposal is moved from QoD repository. And then please discuss the proposal within this issue.

Hi @Masa8106. I can propose a version here, aligned with the initial proposal and also taking into account some new feedback I got from our Product team. Is this OK for you?

Hi @jlurien, Thank you for the suggestion. Now I try to move PR from QoD repository to this repository. I would be happy that you revise it according to new feedback after the move.
