What I typically do if I want to find out without having to open up the device and look at the Tuya chip is to search the MAC address. Log into your router and lookup the MAC address of your tuya device. Then go to https://macvendors.com and insert the MAC address. If it says Espressif then it's an ESP device that can very likely be flashed with tuya-convert. If it says Tuya Smart then it's likely a Beken chip and might be able to be flashed with https://github.com/tuya-cloudcutter/tuya-cloudcutter
If you bought it recently then it's very likely got a Beken chip.
Hello,
is there a way I can find out, if my device is compatoble to be flashed or not? In special, I have this dimmer plug https://moeshouse.com/products/moes-wifi-smart-power-dimmer-plug-brightness-adjust-timer-socket-eu that is at the moment only connectable to tuya app. I dont want to brick it :D
