Feature request:

  • An option to hide stories individually as well as "Hide All Read" stories (reddit & the reddit mobile client Alien Blue offer this as an example)

This would allow users to quickly see new stories at the top of their Hacky screen while still keeping the appropriate numbering (relative to the actual HN site) and section (Top, New, etc.)

As a user, once I've read a story and/or its comments, I'd like to hide it (or "archive", using the Gmail metaphor) so that only new or unread stories are visible. That way, when I see the badge icon on Hacky indicate that a new story is available, I can quickly switch to the app and see the stories front & center.
