Environment

  • Development Kit: ESP8285
  • IDF version: ecdc4cd
  • Development Env: Make
  • Operating System: Linux
  • Power Supply: external 3.3V

Problem Description

Many lost multicast packages when running in AP mode.

Expected Behavior

Multicast in AP mode should work as running STA mode.

Steps to repropduce

  1. Apply the attached patch to the multicast example
  2. Connect client to AP
  3. Observer traffic

Attached see a network capture taken with WireShark.

  • sdkconfig file (attach the sdkconfig file from your project folder)
  • capture of network traffic
  • patch for example
