Problem:
In "over" configuration, it is quite hard to see the an edge of enlarged image. One have to be right on edge of small image and it is very easy to just go down from it (it is even harder on touch screens).
One solution might be to introduce a "margin/edge" area where enlarged image is automatically set to small image border. (check image)

Hi @m4recek - Thanks for opening this issue. I appreciate your input. You raise an interesting use case that has not been proposed before. I'm wondering, instead of decreasing the active area, if there were an option to specify a "buffer zone" around the small image that would allow the user to hover/touch a specified amount past the boundary of the small image, would that achieve your goal? Also I'm curious what sort of application you are creating. Are you displaying product images or something else?
