Can't hide the discontinued message in Firefox #116
Comments
Hi @Davst , Personally, I'd like to bring back Firefox support (it is my primary browser, too), but that's a fairly big project - from a development perspective, it doesn't make sense to start it until after I've looked into updating everything to a more recent version of Ember, and I'm not sure when I'll next have time to look into that. Unfortunately, there's not going to be a built-in way to suppress the message until that happens, since adding a way to suppress the message would itself require doing a new firefox release. |
That's a shame. Hopefully you'll find the time, or at least avoid introducing any breaking features until that might happen. |
if you use uBlock Origin, add this line to your Filters: This works with uBO fully updated & Firefox 105.0 or higher (avoid 107.0.0 & 107.0.1 due to crash-prone bugs.) |
Getting a FireFox version back would be incredible! I had to stop using BetterTrading because it was causing more problems than solutions for me in firefox. But then couldnt live without the features and saving trades and such and resorted to using the TFT extension. But I use it begrudgingly as a bandaid to help my trade experience. If BT ever gets a FF update I would swap back in less than a heartbeat. |
Hi @dbjorge! I just wanted to add to this. Considering recent TFT events I really want to stop their extention. The release of Manifest V3 might also be a good reason. I am sure there are may people like me that would also be open to contribute with the Firefox support if it comes back, I was even considering creating a firefox fork. |
Can't find where to get rid of this message.. I've read it.. i know. Unfortunately Chrome isn't an option anymore with Manifestv3 and the blocking of Adblocks.
I believe that Firefox will be a lot more requested for this great tool you've created as well.
