Chair Nominations

• No nominations were posted on the Issue Nominations - Chair of Technology Architecture Working Group (TAWG) #3292
• No nominations were received directly
• As there were no nominations for Chair there will no longer be a Chair for the TAWG
• The meeting cannot be run without a Chair
• The TAWG has thus been put on hiatus for now.

Future of the TAWG

• As the TAWG has no Chair, Chris recommended approaching the SWG for guidance
• Chris will request that he present suggested approaches to the technical review to the SWG
• The main suggestion will be:
  • Technical changes are raised either at the CRWG or SWG, depending on their scope
  • If appropriate, small task dedicated forces will be formed to review them
  • This will make the process ad-hoc, which is similar to what we did with Serialisation and Reference Data
  • The task forces will be made up of TAWG Maintainters and interested technical participants
• If the SWG still require a dedicated forum then they will need to offer suggested approaches
• Feedback from Minesh
  • A dedicated forum would be good
  • We (and the SWG) need to consider how and where Rune changes would be reviewed
  • Potentially a new Rune WG could be started to undertake these reviews
• Feedback from Dan
  • If the SWG want a dedicated forum then they will need to tell us what they want
  • This includes clarification on the role, remit and scope of the forum
  • The governance associated to any forum/reviews would also need to be explored

Action Items

• Add agenda point to discuss plans for the TAWG at the next SWG CDM Steering Working Group - January 14th, 2025 #3308 - @chrisisla
