Hi just a FYI, SciPy now has an implementation of the AAA algorithm https://scipy.github.io/devdocs/reference/generated/scipy.interpolate.AAA.html

Of course feel free to use your own implementation, I just thought I'd draw attention to this incase it's useful:)
