It was mentioned that this hadn't been tested on an SD2IEC device. Well, I tested it. :)
I made an autoswap.lst file with the two disks in it, loaded the first one and launched the program. At the appropriate time I pressed the disk-switch button and two things happened:
The SD2IEC started flashing the red light, meaning it wasn't quite happy with the disk image.
When I hit a CMD-N to advance, it froze with a sound playing.
I will have to retry copying the B disk image over in case it got damaged, but it seems that something isn't making the SD2IEC happy. In fact, if I just CD into it and try to display a directory on the C64 I get garbage on the screen.
Just reporting.

This was already discussed on Slack but quoting @ssalevan here to help clarify what the issue was.
i am unfamiliar with that device, but disk b is a bit tricky because it requires a complete 1541 emulation. there is a special bootloader that gets loaded into the 1541 which is used to read data off that disk. this is also the reason why sd2iec devices don’t load disk b. the only fpga-based device i know that can do it is the 1541 ultimate
