Hi there, thanks a lot for the feedback, I'm really glad that GeckoLinux is working well for your needs.
I also would like this, but unfortunately openSUSE no longer offers a repository with newer Gnome versions for Leap. The GeckoLinux policy is to only include software that is available in the openSUSE or Packman repos, so that it remains dependent on the upstream development ecosystem.
Thanks for the tip, it looks interesting. I'll keep an eye on it, but it looks like it's not packaged yet for openSUSE. Thanks again for the kind and useful feedback. |

Hi,
Thank you so much for new repacks.
Btrfs, zstd and zRAM swap are welcome change.
You are reducing the steps needed after installation, to almost half with every iteration of Gecko.
For me Gecko does what Ubuntu does for Debian, and probably even better.
What I like most about Gecko is that it's completely bloat free, even if compared to Suse(due messy panels); with all essential ready out of the box.
Finally, I was just wondering with Leap 15.3 would it be possible to include a Next Gnome edition?? As Difference between leap and Tumbleweed Gnome is getting much wider 3.34 to 40.
Also, with Gnome 40, Gnome recommends, to use Gnome Power Profiles instead of TLP for Desktops/Laptops:
