Installation on a legacy bios machine

Is it possible to install geckolinux on a legacy bios computer?

Yes, doing some research I found out. I then used Etcher, finally the legacy option works and with some difficulty (the system was abnormally slow) I managed to install Gecko.
But it does not work.
At boot the word "Thumbleweed" appears on a black background, above there is a spinning wheel but this goes on indefinitely, the system does not start.
Suggestions?

Try hitting ESC to see at what stage it is hanging.

I've also tried Argon live, and even in this case there is clearly something wrong. Start booting and stop at a black screen with the mouse pointer (it works, it moves, but no desktop).
I have been doing wild distro-hopping for a month, but the only problems I'm having are with OpenSuse based distros.
Me sad.
