Desktop Environment broken

Hi Gecko Community,

I love this distro very much but upon last upgrade the screen looks like below image.

I booted previous kernel and no change. DE still white and can access anything just from cli. How can this be troubleshooted? Thanks!

@lattimro I tried an installation of GeckoLinux ROLLING Cinnamon 210526 in VirtualBox and then upgraded it, and the Cinnamon desktop continues to work fine. I can test it later today on real hardware, but I'm not sure what's going on. In your LightDM login manager you can try changing to the Openbox environment, and open a terminal there to run the Muffin window manager:
muffin --replace

weird! Thank you! I will try that. You don't have to test it in real hw because I have the same Cinnamon (upgraded) and works fine. In VM I toggled some settings and I found that the 3D Acceleration was the culprit. Disabled it and then graphics works fine but processor struggles.

Ahhh, yes, thanks for mentioning the 3D accel thing, that was going to be my other suggestion. Yes, I've also had problems with Cinnamon under VirtualBox with 3D acceleration.

OpenBox works fine, but I replaced with muffin, also works (with 3D enabled for VM guest - gecko), however there is a Cinnamon (software rendering) option which I have not observe and works also fine. I think this issue came with the upgrade (5.12.9-1) Thank you! Awesome distro btw!
