GeckoLinux does not add or remove functionality from packages, as it is built entirely from unmodified upstream openSUSE and Packman packages. If it gets removed from openSUSE and then Packman later creates their own version of the package maintaining the functionality, then the Packman version will be preferred due to the GeckoLinux default repository priorities for Packman.
