Hi there, I understand the concern, because that would also be a concern of mine. To avoid that exact concern there is no "gatekeeping" or staging of updates whatsover. You can look at the preconfigured repositories and see that they are all upstream openSUSE and Packman sources with no modifications and no repositories at all that are unique to GeckoLinux. The main goal of this project is to offer an alternative installation method and alternative default configuration of openSUSE, but once installed to a user's system the GeckoLinux project is completely removed from the picture and the system depends completely on upstream sources for its maintenance and security and feature updates. |

Hello Developer!
I'm a new to OpenSuse and I found your project and it seems like it has positive feedbacks overall. After reading your main page, I want to try the rolling release on bare metal. Given that, I would like to ask if Gecko Linux rolling also follows the update cycles of Tumbleweed or do you have administration gatekeeping for updates (for security or quality control or whatever it maybe).
Although I'm happy with what I read, I just fear that it might get abandoned (hopefully not) if ever there are update gatekeeping that is happening. I want to daily drive GeckoLinux and use it for a long time. Hope you can shed some light on me.
Thank you for what you're doing. Cheers!
