Ability to take MIDI as input. This would make it possible to make synths, not just effects, which would be great.

Hi, I am happy to see that there is interest. This feature is also near the top of my wishlist, I think it's fairly natural to want to design synths using Amati.

Sadly development is a little difficult for me, given all the interacting technologies (Faust, C++ & JUCE, VST). I am doing my best when I get some time, but if you or anyone would like to help, feel free to get in touch!
