frequent releases to maven repo (at least snapshot) #331
Comments
Unfortunately no one is actively working on Caliper, so my best recommendation is to build locally and install it on your machine. If you want to look at other Google projects that push their snapshot on each commit with Travis, we'd love to accept a contribution! |
@ronshapiro OK, thanks for response and suggestion. I don't think I'll find time for that :( |
@ronshapiro so this project is abandoned? There seem to be commits. |
@cgdecker has been spending the most time on Caliper recently, but mostly for Android. We don't have anyone actively working on it, but it's definitely still usable (we use it all the time) |
Than please do at least a newer Maven release, since we don't have the commit nor the publish credentials. Also there seem to be quite a few and old not merged PRs (but also not "refused" ) |
Ping @ronshapiro @cgdecker We're seeing new commits migrated by MOE to here but the Travis build is still failing, as are local builds from git HEAD
Please, give the publicly-facing version of this project the little bit of love it needs to be useful. Thanks! |
As of this comment, head builds cleanly and tests cleanly (non-android profile) with:
That doesn't obsolete this issue (which is about maven releases, which I agree would be nice). But at least can address the in-comments concern about head building. At this point, at least, it's clean. |
I'd offer to roll a release, but I did the "right thing" and told the sonatype folks to remove me from com.google publishing rights when I left the big G. :) sorry. |
as the latest released version is rather old, please provide more frequent releases in maven repo, or push SNAPSHOT builds to some snapshot repo, so users won't need to rebuild library every time localy.
