go skating/skiing/tobogganing
the micro breweries around town (i am told they are good)
if you get a chance try to go out of town for
- aurora borealis
- parks and sights close to Winnipeg. I've been to:
  - Gimli
  - Seven sisters falls
  - Hecla lighthouse
- ice fishing
