Choose default window width and position

Hello, I've just started getting back into Helix and it's been real nice. One big comfort thing I miss is from this neovim plugin where the window width and position can be set so that window and splits are aligned to the middle of the screen, with each window at some max-width.

I find this helpful to stop me from craning my neck to the left of my screen. It's also common design idiom to keep line widths at around 80 chars.
I understand I could also achieve this by adjusting my terminal/multiplexer but to be able to do it through Helix would be real nice, especially since the whole screen could be used after adding splits.

Is this something that's possible?

Hm... I could imagine this more as a plugin than a core feature of helix.
