This checksheet should help in testing a system in determining whether it meets our standards

By default (= the user may be able to change this),...

• the system does not print techno-bubble on the screen
• an average Mac user immediately feels at home (even though the system may be simpler and have other differences)
• the user does not need any logins nor passwords
• media files can be played out of the box
• devices on the network are automatically discovered
• keyboard language, timezone, and system language are set automatically or with minimal effort
• the user does not need a package manager
• the system can run the apps from https://github.com/AppImage/AppImageKit/wiki/Libre-Graphics-Suite using binaries provided directly by the authors
• all "system administration" can easily be accomplished in the file manager
• fonts look good
• system administrators dislike the system because there is nothing to see or do here ;-)
