Actually, we have no installer, no packaging, or anything to differentiate the current set of modules and scripts between a "true" application and just a set of scripts.

Currently, I have started to read this excelent book called Producing Open Source Software, which is freely available online.

Specifically, its chapter on Packaging could be useful.
