Video download or maybe Webhooks #914

Describe the feature you'd like

Initially I wanted to suggest adding support for youtube-dl or metube (since there's docker containers available) so video links can be archived on disk which would be great, but now I think maybe a more flexible way would be to allow for webhooks to notify when content was added and enable external systems to handle it

Describe the benefits this would bring to existing Hoarder users

Video downloading for offline watching, archiving.

Can the goal of this request already be achieved via other means?

Not to my knowledge

Have you searched for an existing open/closed issue?

  • I have searched for existing issues and none cover my fundamental request

You are in luck, because not only do we support video download already via ytld (check the configuration). But we also landed webhook support yesterday and it'll be available in the next release (it already is on the nightly build)

Man, you're moving faster than I can follow, I guess I need to update my instance.

Best app ever by the way, it's the absolutely best way to manage information.

By the way, I really mean it, I pitched it on stage a few times in Europe last year. :) -

_hoarder_logs.txt
On v0.21.0 Setting the Video Quality to -1 results in video failing to download! and setting it to 1000 results in the quality remaining the same as on the default value of 50
