Description

In Firefox. When opening clicking on a bookmark folder in the bookmark toolbar, a context menu opens, showing the contents of the folder. Now when there is a subfolder in that folder, and you hover over it, it shows another context menu of the subfolder. When you then right-click, it shows the right-click-menu.

But if you then move your mouse cursor to select something in the right-click-menu, it disappears (and there are some visual bugs).

How to reproduce

  1. Open Firefox and make sure the bookmark toolbar is activated.
  2. Put a folder in your bookmark toolbar, and in in that folder put a subfolder.
  3. Click on the folder (in the bookmark toolbar) and then hover over the subfolder to see the contents.
  4. Do a right-click and try to select something in the right-click-menu.

Are you sure you are hovering over a subfolder? It does work fine if I just right-click over a bookmark in the main folder.

@fufexan you gave thumbs up, can you reproduce it?

Yeah, did exactly what's in the video and it happens.

Yeah @vaxerski maybe try to reproduce exactly the setup as in the video. In particular it's important that there are further items in the main folder. Also make sure Firefox is in Wayland mode with MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1.

Here is a second video which demonstrates what's going wrong:
https://youtu.be/wxy1cRZTV80

If I first go "outside" the main folder context menu, it works. But the problem is when my mouse goes over a different item in the main folder context menu (at the very end). Then it changes the selection to that item, as if the right-click content menu wasn't there, and then the right-click content menu disappears.

got it, yeah. That's an odd one.
