Yep, I keep coming back here and checking on this page regularly - I'd love to get this webcam working on my 7390 2 in 1. |
Would also love assistance or documentation for this project. (Also a motivated new owner of Dell XPS 7390 2-in-1 who wants a working camera under Linux.) |
Near-zero chance #3 With M1 breaking new ground in performance and battery life, my mindset is currently "what's the best way to ditch Intel" https://twitter.com/lkraav/status/1351820899104694273 I won't be sending money to Apple, for sure, but looking to stick with this 7390 and its 2 h battery life until an M1 equivalent or better CPU arrives, whenever it is. |

It seems that this repository has been stalled for around 3 years.
I'm using a Dell XPS-13-7390-2-in-1 laptop, with Ubuntu; but the integrated webcam is not working because the system lacks proper drivers for it. It seems this project is one of the missing pieces ( https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Dell/XPS/XPS-13-7390-2-in-1 ), and I would like to do some experiments, and hopefully contribute to improve the situation, but I can't find any proper documentation to make the tinkering a little bit easier.
Would be nice to add some extra explanations, or at least some links.
