When the bottom bar has a file path of more than one line, and should display the top of the file (line 1), amp:
displays the second line
has the cursor on the second line
when inserting text, types on the first line
Example
Path to file: ultra/long/file/path/because/lots/of/work/is/theoretically/being/done/or/so/I/keep/telling/people.sh
Line 1: (where cursor should be and where text is being typed in insert mode) #!/bin/bash
Line 2: (cursor and first line displayed here)
Context
While I don't imagine this frequently occurs or is in desperate need of a fix, I thought I'd point it out in case others encounter it.
Since I frequently use amp with chezmoi (an otherwise perfect dotfile manager with verbose filenames) and from the top-level directory, it frustrated me on occasion.
Workaround
Change directories to get closer to the file that needs editing.
