Is circumventing proprietary special TOTP in the roadmap?

I see that KeepassXC has a way to rip steam out of the picture when it comes to TOTP and I personally TOTP via KeepassXC with my steam account, it is amazing!

Is there the same for Microsoft's special ass TOTP as well, on the roadmap? I currently can't enable this passwordless feature, unless I use microsoft's special app to scan their special TOTP QR. I've tried to scan the QR code with my phone camera, but I got a string of code that does not align with the normal TOTP protocol.

No we do not have interest in maintaining a reverse engineered totp solution. Steam is an anomaly and its only there because it was added along with totp itself. If it's an open standard we would implement it.
