I guess seeing the matrix of docker supported versions that you would have to stick to 1.12.6 to support kubernetes. Would it be possible to have a pillar/grain/option somewhere to say "hey I won't be using kubernetes, can you use a more recent version of docker - 17.03.0-ce or 1.13.1 ?

Would it be possible to have the latest stable version of rancher ? (v1.6.2 at the time of writting https://github.com/rancher/rancher/releases/tag/v1.6.2 )
