The weird thing is I did that but didn't get the issue (both on chrome and safari). It could be because my iphone is from a few years ago, although I doubt that's the cause.
Ok I’ve played around and I don’t get the issue if I scroll so far that some of the board is cut off. That causes the board to reposition itself when the new chapter is loaded and the toolbar appears above it.
It also affects any study and can be triggered by clicking ‘Next Chapter’ or by clicking another chapter in the menu.

Steps to reproduce the bug
Navigate to study
Scroll down so that the toolbar disappears
Complete the practice study (without scrolling)
Click Next Chapter (without scrolling)
What did you expect to happen?
Toolbar should remain hidden
What happened instead?
The toolbar including menu drop down and username appears on top of the board.
(Upon scrolling, the issue fixes itself)
