Send Security Alert Emails

Send security alert emails to end-users or administrators when changes in their accounts are made.

You are assigned the Manage Tenant Configuration role. For more information about how to assign administrator roles, see Edit Administrator Authorizations.

Context

The tenant administrator can configure the system to send security alert emails when some of the following actions are carried out:

  • Email change
  • Login Name change
  • Phone change
  • Credential change
  • Administrator authorization removal
  • TFA device activation or deactivation; postpone enabling of Two-Factor Authentication
  • Registration with nonunique email

Remember:

It takes 2 minutes for the configuration changes to take place.

Only the affected user (end-user or administrator) receives the security alert email.

The security alert e-mails are disabled by default. To start sending security alert e-mails, proceed as follows:

Procedure

  1. Sign in to the administration console for SAP Cloud Identity Services.

  2. Under Applications and Resources, choose the Tenant Settings tile.

At the top of the page, you can view the administrative and license relevant information of the tenant.

  3. Under General, choose the Security Alerting list item.

  4. Use the slider next to an action to enable the sending of security alert emails for it.

If the operation is successful, you receive a confirmation message.
