A recent CGD seminar by Magdalena C looked at BGC responses to storms in the southern ocean. Her study was based on CESM 1 runs because they matched the general behavior of observations (chlorophyll response to storms, etc) and CESM 2 did not. We need better BGC diagnostics to explore what is happening in the CESM 2 run -- this issue will be updated as we determine exactly which diagnostics are needed.
