Pie menu and app drawer gone missing ocassionaly.

Expected behaviour: pie menu should open when you tap and hold, app drawer should open when you single tap

Actual: pie menu is not visible and non functional, instead only the last opened app opens, and the app drawer is functional with search and apps opening but nothing is visible but the keyboard.

I'm the dude from the playstore review regarding the same issue, I'm glad to help and provide logs. I have root even, if that helps.

I'm on lineageos right now if that helps.

I observe the same issue occasionally - seems to happen mostly after I just finished a call. What always helps in my case is locking and unlocking the phone.

I've just ordered a Poco X4 Pro 5G (which Google Play reported to be your device) to hopefully be able to finally track this bug down. It still haven't encountered it on any of my devices so far, unfortunately.

I don't know if LineageOS is a factor, but everything non-standard may be of importance.

In settings, there is an option "Do not reuse home screen" (at the very end). Does enabling it resolve the issue? May I also ask on what device and Android version you're on?

As I said in the Google play review after editing, Yes enabling this setting does help, I haven't encountered the issue since then.
Im on Android 15 qpr 1.

And afaik this issue didn't happen when I was on MIUI(I'm not entirely sure), so it might highly related to lineageOS for my device.

Also, buying an entirely new device just to fix a bug is crazy. If you can't reproduce the issue on MIUI then I'm ready to provide any logs of sorts.

@markusfisch I run into this issue today: I was trying to open app drawer while being on a phone call. Instead of Pie app drawer, default launcher was rendered, but completely unresponsive. I could only access apps via recent apps menu (luckily the app I wanted to use during the call was there... :-)

Thanks for the tip: I activated the "Do not reuse home screen" option now and will report if it makes any difference. I am on Android 14 and have Fairphone 5.
