Is there any way to get my esc's back?

Try connecting and wait some time before pressing read setup. Maybe also try another USB cable and turn off transmitter etc.

You can also try esc-configurator.com

I've tried waiting for up to 1 min but no luck. I think I'm going to need to get an ardurino nano and reflash/unbrick it

Which version did you use to flash it?

With the latest bluejay configurator or esc configurator it should not be possible to brick.

Can you post debug logs?

I used the stand alone bluejay-configurator 1.3.7, and I didn't save the log file unfortunately.
It is a betafpvf411rx that looks like has the C2 pads, so I can hopefully save it.

I tried flashing an earlier version on BF, and then was able to flash the ESC back to JESC. If I want to try Bluejay, what is the best way to flash it?

Okay great you were able to get them back!

You should be able to use the bluejay configurator, but I recommend using esc-configurator instead because it is more up to date and I won't be maintaining bluejay configurator much longer.

With ESC configurator the debug logs are also saved between sessions, so should you run into issues you can always go back and get the logs.

Great, Thanks for all of you help.
BTW my mothers made name is Rasmussen, so we might be cousins :-) Have a great day and stay safe,

I figured out that the problem happens when I enable bidirectional dshot.
Then it shows 0 motors available in the motors tab, and no ESC's in the any ESC configurators.
I tried .14 and .15 and the board is the betafpvf411rx which has S-H-70 ESC's
Do I need to do anything different in Betaflight than I do for JESC?

No it should be the same as when using JESC.
You might have to try set dshot_bitbang=on in betaflight cli, but it should not have to change if it works with JESC or other ESCs?

I haven't used bidirectional dshot on this board, but I have been using JESC unlicensed. Maybe this betafpv board is incompatible

Betafpv board needs dshot_bitbang = off
betaflight/unified-targets#95

Hmm maybe it could be a problem with the version of betaflight?

Im on 4.2.8 right now, but I had tried at 4.2.11, 4.3, 4.10 all with the same behaviour.
Betafpv engineering is iffy at best. I'm confident that the problem is their hardware.

I just flashed bluejay and am having the same issue, but I don't have jesc and I used the online version of Bluejay
Does anyone have any ideas?
